A Brooklodge Wedding by The Fennells

Susan and Michael tell us about their amazing Brooklodge wedding. Susan originally from Tipperary and Michael from Kildare, met by chance one day on a street corner and the rest is history! They got engaged on the island of Lanzarote and then starting planning their wedding in the beautiful wedding venue that is Brooklodge. They were engaged for 2 years before getting married in August 2017.

What made you decide to have a Brooklodge wedding?

We knew that we wanted somewhere that offered amazing food and service. Brooklodge ticked all the boxes with its unique charm, the place is magical in all seasons. The attention to detail on the day was amazing and we couldn’t of asked for more from start to finish for the whole weekend everything we hope for. It really was the best day / weekend ever.

What was important to you about your wedding day?

We wanted out guests to have an amazing day. To us that meant having great food and entertainment from start to finish.

What made your wedding day really special?

We choose to take 5 minutes to ourselves prior to the dinner reception. This was lovely to hear all our family and friends enjoying themselves celebrating our special day. Plus a videographer was the best decision to look back on our day.

You guys came recommended and you are just the best! We couldn’t recommend you guys enough.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We decided on a mini moon stay in The Monart, Co Wexford we then flew to Italy for our honeymoon 3 weeks later. We cant recommend this enough as it was lovely having something to look forward to after the wedding.
