It all started with an email enquiry. Nora and Josh were coming to Ireland after being recently engaged and wanted and engagement shoot by wedding photographers The Fennells…that would be us! So we planned it all in advance and decided on two locations. Dún Laoghaire Pier for the first part of the engagement shoot and then for sunset, we planned to head up to Killiney Hill Forest overlooking Dublin.
We discovered Josh is an ice hockey champ and Nora his devoted fan. We had so much fun on this shoot it was just brilliant. The photos turned out fantastic and Nora and Josh are just so loved up it was an absolute pleasure to photograph and capture their chemistry.
We strongly recommend an engagement shoot which are also known as a pre wedding shoot. It helps you get familiar with your photographer and style. Q 1: How did you and Josh meet?
We met through mutual friends at a lake in Michigan. It was love at first sight. We spent every second of that summer getting to know each other and here we are 6 years later engaged!
Q 2: How did he propose
Josh proposed at Coronado Beach in San Diego, California. He had been acting anxious all day and was very adamant that we be at the beach for sunset.
We could not have walking on the beach talking about our holiday for more than 5 minutes when Josh got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him!
Q 3: How did you choose your photographer
Being from America, it was very hard to find a photographer to take our engagement pictures, in Ireland. We had planned the trip for some time and realized how beautiful it would be to actually take some pictures while we were there. After days of searching on the internet, Instagram, Pinterest, and even calling our wedding planner here in the U.S to help, we found The Fennells.
After looking at their website, we were sold. The beauty that they capture in all their photographs is second to none, so we had to see if they were available to help us too!
Q 4: What helped you choose your photography style
The style that Mark and Fiona use really helped Josh and I decided on booking them as our photographers. We looked at their website and Instagram account (social media is SO important these days and super essential for me because I like to see actual work) and we loved the clean, bright and sophisticated look they were able to capture.
Once we contacted Mark he sent over an engagement shoot that he had previously worked on so we could get an idea for his style as well as the location of where we would actually be shooting. We fell in love.
He was so helpful with everything. They gave us so many options on locations and style which made it very easy for us. We could not have been more happy during the whole process. They made it fun and so delightful!

Q 5: What will your wedding be like?
Our wedding will take place at Sundance Mountain, Utah. Josh and I really wanted to capture the beauty of the mountain’s here (where we currently live) but with a classy and elegant edge.
We are encompassing white, black, and gold into many aspects of the event with a ton of flowers. The ceremony will take place outside with a large, formal reception, in a building overlooking the mountains and water after.
